Dear Rachel;
On behalf of the Board and members of the Australia New Zealand America Society (ANZAS) I would like to congratulate you on your appointment as the New Zealand Honorary Consul. It is a tremendous honor and very well deserved. Both you and Ken have been such active supporters and organizers of New Zealand activities here in Seattle that it was an obvious choice to have you succeed Della as the Honorary Consul.
In keeping with our charter, we would like to extend the courtesy of inviting you to join ANZAS as an Honorary Board Member. Although Della could not as actively participate in Board activities as John Bollard did she always enthusiastically supported our activities and functions when she could.
We certainly appreciate your past support of ANZAS and for encouraging other New Zealanders to participate in our functions and hope that you will accept our invitation to be a board member. Our Annual Dinner is planned for Friday 23rd April and invitations will be sent out soon. We would like to formally introduce you our members at this function. Once again, please accept our heartfelt congratulations on your appointment and please do not hesitate to call on us if we can assist you in your capacity as New Zealand Honorary Consul.
